Our Story" content.  My name is Jeremy Schmidt, and I have been in love with cars for as long as I can remember. My father has a 65' Malibu SS that I grew up fixing with him through my childhood. I was born and raised in the San Lorenzo Valley and graduated SLV High in 01’. I was supposed to go to the San Francisco Academy of Arts to design cars, but at the last minute decided not to go for a number of reasons, the cost being a major factor. 

I decided I wanted to make money right away and got a job at Specialized Auto. I worked with them for 10 years, doing everything from car washing, technician, and manager. After the 10 year run, I decided to branch out on my own, and AE was born. 

I started AE officially in 2012, and it has gone by very fast. We have grown to 6 technicians and 2 counter people. My goal in all of this was to provide jobs for people, and create a healthy culture within my business. I wanted to be different. I believe I have succeeded in this, and it shows through our satisfied clients and the relationships we have built with them, as well as my long term employees. 

I want all my clients to understand what they are paying for and be given options on how to appropriately repair their vehicles. We are a no BS shop that will give you the straight story with transparency. We are all human, and as much as we do our best to deliver a great product, mistakes can be made. We are not afraid to put our tail between our legs and make the situation right. We have grown over the years by word of mouth; we do not advertise. We have depended on our clients to be so thrilled with us that they tell everyone. Birds of a feather flock together, and by this, we have an amazing clientele that we have long relationships with. There is a mutual respect, and I love that!
